Even a pandemic and extreme below seasonal temperatures couldn't stop the 2020 Green Industries plant sale.
Earlier in the school year students from the Green Industries program planted a greenhouse full of plants with the intention of growing them for the annual plant sale. With the school shut down and the students unable to tend to their plants, teacher Christine Ritsma took it upon herself to keep the plants alive but the time was coming where the plants needed to be moved out of the green house.
With cooperation from the AMDSB and the Huron Perth Public Health office, a process was devised that allowed the school to accept online orders and the public were able to do a curb side pickup from staff volunteers.
Close to $3000 was raised for the school's Green Industries program. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser!!
